What extension methods do you offer?
Micro beads, Mermaid, Hotheads and Habit Hand Tied Extensions.
What are micro bead extensions?
The micro bead technique, also known as “I Tip”, uses a non-slip micro bead to attach an
extension to the existing hair. The tip is so thin that it looks like the end of a shoelace tip. The
extensions are attached by using a micro bead and loop tool. No heat, glue or chemicals!
Beaded extensions are semi-permanent. Tendere hair uses the smallest beads on the market
for clients that have baby fine hair. We are the only hair extension salon to do this intricate type
of hair extension method.
What are Hotheads hair extensions?
Hotheads hair extensions are human hair, adhesive weft extensions that are applied without the
need for tools or heat.
What are Habit hand tied extensions?
Hand tied extensions are human hair attached to a weft using a bead to attach onto the natural
hair. Beads are used to create rows across your head using your natural hair. Hand tied wefts
are then sewn onto the rows. It is recommended to have medium to course hair for hand tied
extensions.
Do clients need to have a consultation?
Yes, all clients are required to come in for a complimentary consultation. During the
consultation we will determine which method is best for your hair and lifestyle.
How often do clients need to come for maintenance?
Most clients return every 6- 8 weeks for maintenance appointments depending on the method.
If the clients are wearing mini micro beads the suggested time is 4 weeks.
Can the extensions be reused?
Yes, each method is different depending on the care of the extensions.
Tendere Hair Micro Beads: up to a year
Mermaid: up to 8 months
Hotheads: the suggested re-use is up to 3 times or 6 months
Habit Hand Tied: up to 8 months
Can the roots be retouched while the extensions are in the hair?
Yes, roots can be retouched and clients can have their highlights done.
Can I swim, exercise or go in the sauna?
They must be sure to wash their hair after working out, as well as brushing before and after
exercising. Exposing extensions to sunscreen may cause discoloration.
Where does the hair come from?
Our hair is 100% cuticle on Remy human hair.
Is it Human Hair?
Our extensions are 100% Remy human hair, meaning the cuticle is intact and the hair is placed
with the cuticle all facing the same direction. Benefits to this are no matting, tangling or short
hair returns.
Where do I buy extension hair?
Tendere Hair will determine what method is best for you during your consultation. We will then
custom order the hair for you.
Will the hair extensions damage my hair?
Hair extensions done by Tendere Hair will not damage your hair as long as they are cared for
properly and maintained.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you miss your appointment, cancel, or change your appointment with less than 24 hours
notice you will be charged $85.00. Please be on time for for your hair extension appointment
and other services. Clients are charged when appointment time begins NOT upon arrival.
Clients more than 20 minutes late will be considered a cancellation and will need to
reschedule. Clients are required to input their credit card information to hold and book their
appointment.
How long is the hair extension application?
The application time varies between 1 to 5 hours depending on the amount of hair used.
